Working principle:
When this machine is used as a centrifugal extractor for liquid/liquid extraction, a solution containing one or more solutes (shown in yellow) and a non-miscible solvent of a different density (shown in blue) are loaded into a mixing chamber at the bottom of the machine.
The rotating stirring vane mixes the two immiscible liquids into dispersions (shown in green). Different stirring vane can be used according to the interfacial tension between the liquid phases. High efficiency mixing can produce a large interfacial area between the two liquid phases, thus ensuring maximum mass transfer.
Drum at the bottom of the turbine pump will be dispersed in the liquid suction drum, drum produced by centrifugal force to separate of dispersion, heavy phase (chart for yellow) occupy the outer edge of the drum, light phase (shown in blue) occupy the inner side of the drum, heavy phase overflow baffle determine the position of phase interface, are available in different diameter heavy phase overflow baffle exchange, to meet the needs of different density ratio, The heavy phase spills down into the heavy phase receiving chamber, and the light phase spills out into another independent light phase receiving chamber.
The liquid is discharged by gravity to the next BXP centrifugal extractor or downstream equipment. When multi-stage extraction is needed, a series of BXP centrifugal extractors can be installed to achieve the required stage. There is no need to pump between the extractors.
For maximum flexibility, external piping can be used to load and discharge liquids in the extraction process (main extraction, scour, reverse extraction).
